Sterling Protective Services, Inc. was formed in 1989 when its founder, and current president Tim Dyson, spun off his partial ownership in another security company in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. With inception of service in June of 1989, a number of clients chose to continue their association with Sterling Protective's management that in some cases dated back to 1985. Sterling Protective was formed on an operational philosophy based on a single goal to provide the highest quality security service to its clients. With operations based on this goal, the company has been very successful and has grown substantially over the years. To this day, it continues to provide service to several of the same clients that management served in 1985. In today's competitive marketplace, this is a true measure of a company's ability to deliver quality security service day in and day out.

Sterling Protective Services has had the same private ownership since its founding. This ownership has maintained the foundation for the sustained, stable growth the company has experienced over the years. Since Sterling Protective Services is a private company, it is able to invest heavily in the quality of local services that directly impacts its clients. There are no investor groups or stock market analysts that must be satisfied at the expense of quality to the client. At Sterling Protective, it is only the client that must be satisfied.
